Day 6: Are you a virgin? Yes/no, discuss it.

I am a virgin and honestly, I’m not afraid to let people know. I never really understood why some people are ashamed of being a virgin, especially at such a young age. I’m only a junior in highschool. I’m sure almost everyone is pressured to have sex in highschool and/or they’re just curious. Not to be old fashion, but virginity is not something you can ever get back. It’s not exactly something you want to lose to just any guy or any boyfriend. Like yeah, you can make as many excuses, trying to convince yourself that sleeping with random people is okay, but at the end of the day, you can’t take back your mistakes. You only live once, so make sure you do it right. Live life to the fullest, but don’t forget that you should always have self respect for yourself. Make decisions for what’s best for yourself and to please yourself. To be honest, I don’t think it’s actually right or okay to have sex with someone you don’t see yourself potentially marrying or having kids with. If you’re as young as me, you really haven’t even lived half your life and you’re pretty much still a baby. You really don’t need to rush into sex…you have your whole life to do it. You should be focusing on school, not sex. But just to clear shit up, I’m not saying it’s wrong to have sex in highschool or even younger. I’m just saying that you should really think twice about who you’re doing it with and make sure you won’t regret it in the future. Don’t do it because someone is pressuring you, but do it when you’re actually “in love.” I only think sex should be with someone you’re “in love” with anyways. I’m too young to even know what “in love” means, and I’m in no rush to find out.
